Stories of a Walk

Stories of a Walk is a photobook project that captures the experience of strolling through New York City.
The assigment consisted in working with photography collections from the New York Public Library, selecting images that aligned with our vision. I chose photos from Dylan Stone’s A Trip Along the Yangtze River to convey the rhythm and flow of a walk through the city. The sequencing and curation of images turn something so casual and mundane into an immersive experience.
The piece is made up of smaller hand-sewn booklets, each representing a specific moment in the journey, all of them held together by a thick black rubber band.
